Job Description
Kyndryl is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Financial Statements (FS) Preparer to join our Statutory Accounting organization in Bratislava. In this role, you will lead and oversee the preparation, review, and delivery of statutory financial statements across a diverse portfolio of EMEA entities, ensuring full compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and corporate reporting standards.
You will act as a key liaison between statutory accounting, corporate finance, and external audit partners - driving accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in all statutory reporting activities. This position requires deep technical accounting expertise, the ability to interpret complex transactions, and excellent time management and communication skills to coordinate competing deadlines across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end preparation and review of statutory financial statements for multiple EMEA entities, managing competing deadlines and prioritizing workload across entities without compromising quality.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax, and legal teams to ensure timely and high-quality statutory audits, communicating clearly and proactively to keep all parties aligned on status and risk.
Provide technical guidance to junior team members and review deliverables for quality and consistency, communicating feedback clearly and constructively.
Ensure accurate alignment between statutory and corporate reporting (local GAAP vs. US GAAP bridge).
Partner with regional finance and controllership teams to resolve complex accounting or audit issues, communicating effectively across time zones, cultures, and levels of seniority.
Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across statutory reporting activities.
Support implementation of new accounting standards or corporate initiatives impacting statutory processes.
Maintain a strong control and documentation framework to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
Contribute to continuous improvement and transformation initiatives within the global statutory reporting network.
Independently plan, sequence, and track deliverables across multiple entities and stakeholders, escalating risks to deadlines early and proactively.
