Your opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Medical Economics Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in value-based care, be proficient in SQL, and possess a strong understanding of risk-based analytics. This role is pivotal in driving strategic decisions and improving healthcare outcomes through detailed economic analysis and data-driven insights.
What You Will Do
- Conduct comprehensive Medical Economic analyses to understand how cost of care initiatives and programs drives shared savings.
- Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvement.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cost of care initiatives and other programs.
- Mentor and support junior analysts in developing their analytical skills.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What will make you successful here
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, economics, business administration, or related field; master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in healthcare
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare economics, data analysis, and program management
- Knowledge of CMS MSSP and ACO Reach programs and other value-based payment models
- Experience working with healthcare data, including claims data and electronic health records
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with statistical analysis and modeling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data and findings to a variety of stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team-oriented with a growth mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive organizational growth and meet operational goals.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management and reporting.
- Current awareness of healthcare industry trends and regulatory changes.
