Job Role: We are seeking an experienced and certified Lead Jira Administrator with 4-5 years of experience to lead the administration and maintenance of our Jira instance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Jira administration, including configuration, customization, and user support. They will work closely with our project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient use of Jira for project tracking and management.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the administration and management of the Jira platform, including configuration, customization, and maintenance.
  • Create and manage projects, workflows, schemes, custom fields, screens, dashboards, and reports in Jira.
  • Ensure the integrity and availability of Jira data and services.
  • Provide advanced support and training to users on Jira best practices and usage.
  • Integrate Jira with other tools and systems, such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and external applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Jira performance, functionality, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions in Jira.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to Jira administration and usage.
  • Stay up-to-date with Jira updates, new features, and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior Jira administrators and other team members.
  • Assist in the implementation and administration of other Atlassian tools as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 4-5 years of experience as a Jira Administrator or in a similar role. • Jira Administrator certification is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira Software, including project setup, configuration, and administration.
  • Experience with Jira plugins and add-ons, such as ScriptRunner, Tempo, and others.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience with Jira Clous, Jira integrations, including APIs and third-party applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Experience with other Atlassian tools (Confluence, Bitbucket) is a plus.
