The Opportunity

Quimbee team members must be masters at what they do. Whether you are a brilliant legal writer, product leader, or subject matter expert we look for the top 1%. As the Lead QA Engineer, you will be at the helm of testing efforts and implementation of QA initiatives.

As a member of our elite group of technology professionals, our Lead QA Engineer will play a key role in driving the testing and coordination of QA effort across applications. The Lead QA Engineer will work closely with multi-functional teams to ensure we are delivering high-quality software in a consistent and expert fashion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Coordination: You will lead our external QA team to ensure seamless integration and efficiency across all testing activities. You will help our team set their priorities, remove their roadblocks, and ensure sufficient coverage for any given release.
  • Testing Plans Ownership: You will own and manage testing plans using TestRail, ensuring all aspects of testing are comprehensively covered.
  • Bug Reports Management: You will be responsible for managing bug reports, making sure that issues are accurately tracked and addressed in a timely manner.
  • JIRA Administration: You will be responsible for managing automations, custom fields, and generating reports, among other administrative tasks in JIRA, to optimize our project management processes.
  • Documentation Improvement: The role involves enhancing the quality and accessibility of our documentation, including process guidelines and JIRA usage instructions, to facilitate better understanding and efficiency across teams. You will also be responsible for ensuring all existing processes are fully documented, suggesting improvements, updating documentation, and communicating all process changes to relevant stakeholders
  • Test Automation Implementation: You will also assume responsibility for web and mobile automation, including maintenance and extension of the existing automation testing.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA in computer science or closely related field
  • 3+ years of experience in designing test scenarios, test execution, monitoring, analyzing results, and reporting results within a web application
  • 2+ years of experience writing and maintaining automated regression tests in Nightwatch.js or a similar test-automation framework
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team
  • 1+ years of experience owning JIRA administration
  • Prior experience utilizing a programming language to write automated tests (C#, JavaScript, etc)
  • Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose resolutions
  • Extensive experience in automation using the Nightwatch framework (JavaScript)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working within an agile development environment
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with a passion for quality processes
  • Familiarity with Trello or similar project management platform
  • Certified Professional Jira Administrator
  • Prior experience managing outside agency relationships

Benefits

  • Salary. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 commensurate with experience.
