Responsibilities
Peraton’s Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector has an immediate need for a Lead Soultion Architect supporting our business development organization. The position will be responsible for leading the design of innovative and cost effective applications, infrastructure, and mission support services solutions leveraging modern technologies that address the business and technology needs of our clients while helping to grow the business.
*100% Remote opportunity - DC/Metro area preferred
What you'll do:
- Leads the technical solution development, competitive costing, and business case alignment of Peraton solutions and Offerings based on Government agency’s requirements.
- The Solutions Architect oversees the creation and the documentation of the technical solution, plus the development of the costing of the solution for insertion into a proposal response to a Government customer.
- Merges industry point of view with broad technical knowledge to generate value propositions and approaches to solve client business challenges
- Engages in consultative dialog with clients in order to draw out underlying business and technology issues, understand the client drivers, requirements, and to validate the solution options
- Works closely with sales, practice, and delivery leaders in order to determine the overall solution strategy and approach aligned to the client’s business objectives and drivers
- Collaborates effectively with the appropriate Peraton business and delivery leaders to design the solution and agree on key solution parameters prior to costing activities
- Leads teams of solution professionals and subject matter experts in the development of integrated, cost-effective solutions that meet the client’s requirement; maximizes Peraton’s competitive advantage; and comply with best practices and standards
- Establishes strong relationships with Peraton partners and works with partners to drive high quality solutions and compelling value propositions
- Identifies and evaluates solution risks and creates strategies and plans to mitigate those risks
- Represents the solution during governance reviews and in reviews with senior Peraton management
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in business, computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years industry experience (DoD and/or Public Sector customers) or a minimum of 6 years industry experience with Masters OR a minimum of 3 years industry experience with PhD. *Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in supporting successful technical solutions for large, complex opportunities and proposal submissions for Public Sector customers.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior and executive management levels.
- Demonstrated knowledge across a broad range of mission focused and technology services and solutions.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; active clearance preferred.
- Position is 100% remote, however must be local to the DC/Metro area and have the ability to travel 25%.
