IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for a Management Liability Underwriting support role located in our Rolling Meadows, IL office. Account Managers (Underwriting Support) provide overall day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters and will act as a liaison between the organization and agents, working closely to ensure needs are being met. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing and applying computer, organizational and professional written and verbal communications skills to accurately assemble policies and meet deadlines. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities:- Enters new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
- Prepares account service-related documents such as binders and other client communications and correspondence.
- Assists in renewal process, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
- Processes endorsements through communication with underwriters and agents.
- Reviews all company correspondence to ensure acceptability to client needs.
- Maintains account files in accordance with established procedures.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
- Answers and processes internal information requests.
- Reviews policies and endorsements for accuracy and compliance.
- Follows up with agencies on policy subjectivities and other missing underwriting information.
- Performs other duties as needed.
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Equivalent is defined as having 4 years of relevant insurance experience
- Minimum of 2 years customer support or customer service
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques
- Strong keyboarding skills
- Strong PC skills required
- Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings
- Must be detail and action oriented in a fast- paced and deadline drive environment
- Ability to organize, set and maintain priorities.

- Associate/Bachelor’s degree
- Underwriting support experience
- Knowledge of underwriting support processes and procedures
