Calling Marketing Majors! Universal Robots is recruiting an intern for immediate hire to join our North America marketing team headquartered in Novi, MI. If you have a passion planning and executing major events including tradeshows, we want to talk to you.

Universal Robots is the market leader in the collaborative robotic space and we are just getting started. We are looking for an ambitious, creative and insightful marketing events intern who can assist with the planning and execution of – working with our Marketing Events Manager to take events to the next-level. In this role, you will also work with Universal Robots’ extended marketing family, assisting with both regional tradeshows and as well as partner events and internal events and meetings.

Universal Robots is the dominant market leader in the fastest growing segment in factory automation: collaborative robots. We’ve shipped over 70,000 cobots already and are looking for students that are ready to help Universal Robots grow even more. Our 6-axis robotic arms are changing the way factories operate by automating the dull, dirty, and dangerous jobs. Universal Robots is 1,000 strong, headquartered in Denmark, and part of Teradyne Robotics.

Location? This position is remote; however, preferred applicant location is within travelable distance to Novi, MI with no relocation assistance.

Job Type? Part-time, Internship

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and execution of all tradeshows and events
  • Ensure any tasks assigned are within budget
  • Help ensure tradeshows and events meet pre-established KPIs, ensuring committed contribution to the entire marketing teams’ goals and objectives
  • Help facilitate logistics for all events, including venue preparation, presentation materials, pre-show communications, equipment, decor, and marketing materials
  • Work with media and communications pre-show to effectively promote presence and drive traffic to the booth
  • Coordinate and communicate with partners exhibiting demos in the booth as necessary, collecting relevant information pertinent to the execution of the event
  • Work with third-party vendors to support tradeshow and event efforts as assigned
  • Communicate with both internal stakeholders and partners to ensure they have the proper information to work the event
  • Assist with any booth design requirements
  • Work with the Marketing Events Manager to provide detailed post-show reporting to all relevant stakeholders including executives, sales, marketing and other interested parties

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous experience assisting in event planning is a plus, but not a requirement
  • Working on a BA degree in Marketing or similar relevant field
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with great interpersonal communication skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Some travel may be required
