Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC and plumbing systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing scopes of work, along with proficiency in performing advanced takeoffs and estimations using specialized software. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to interpret project documents to create accurate bids.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to take-off both the mechanical and plumbing scope of work.
• Perform advanced takeoffs and input utilizing estimating software such as Trimble, Quickpen, and Fastpipe.
• Review all bid documents to determine the complete project scope.
• Prepare and present estimate documentation, highlighting gaps in available data.
• Read and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentation to create comprehensive bids.
• Prepare estimates from take-off to create final proposal documents.
• Review completed estimates and proposals for thoroughness, accuracy, and compliance with strategic goals.
• Collaborate within an estimating team on larger projects.
• Review material pricing provided by purchasing and suppliers, and adjust estimating database and procedures accordingly.
• Gather and maintain current market data necessary for accurate estimations of construction, material, and soft costs.
• Continuously follow up on bid projects and accurately forecast future awards/probabilities.

Qualification

• Proficiency in English language skills at either B2 or C1 level is required
• English Resume is required
• Understanding of the construction bid process and proficiency in on-screen takeoff platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software, including Trimble, Quickpen, and Fastpipe for all trades (sheet metal, mechanical, and plumbing).
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, ensuring tasks are completed accurately the first time.
