Vial is fully remote and was founded by Simon Burns in October 2020. Since our founding, we have grown rapidly to a team of 50+ employees with over $100 million in funding from leading investors including General Catalyst, Box Group, and Byers Capital.

What You’ll Do
Reporting into Vial Operations, we are seeking a Chief Medical Officer to join our team working on early-phase clinical trials. This role is pivotal in the Vial mission of making early stage Clinical Research an efficient, high quality engine and will play a critical role in bringing new life changing medicine to the market The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a high patient load and driving first in human trials to ensure the success of Vial therapeutics programs including Vial's IL-13 x TSLP for asthma, COPD and other pulmonary indications.
Key Responsibilities
Creation of Clinical Development Plan and alignment with executive team
Engage with KOLs, investors and analysts on Vial's active trials and to share the clinical data
Oversee and maintain responsibility for the conduct of clinical trials
Collaborate with Vial Leadership and Site Lead for site success
Monitor and report on patient safety and overall status of clinical trials
What You’ll Bring- Experience in pharma/biotech in clinical development, clinical operations or other relevant roles
Background in Immunology research or in clinical practice in Immunology, preferably in pulmonology
Passion for Clinical Research/Research and Development
Strong skills in time management, documentation, and patient care.
Experience with regulatory compliance for Clinical Trials.
Demonstrated success in scaling a clinical practice.
