Job Description

Overview

LMI is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer with experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to join a dynamic team providing end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services support for a growing sensor data integration system we are developing for Naval Supply Systems Command.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team of domain subject matter experts, system engineers, other partners, and stakeholders to develop models of modular complex sensor data integration systems using systems modeling languages such as SysML and UAF.
  • Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of system architecture using Digital Engineering and MBSE methodologies and tools such as Cameo.
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s) and other engineering working groups to review and assess the maturity of engineering artifacts such as concept of operations (CONOPs), system architecture, system behavior, system interfaces, functional allocation, Interface Control Documents/Descriptions (ICDs), and data models.
  • Collaborate in development of architecture and requirement baselines, establishing and assessing mission capabilities.
  • Provide meeting coordination, technical consultation, and system development to assist the customer decision makers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5-7 years of experience with BS/BA, 3-5 years of experience with MS/MA technical degree (engineering, engineering technology management, or related STEM field).
  • Experience with MBSE and Agile Development methods.
  • Experience with MBSE tools such as Magic Draw, Cameo, or DOORS.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as SysML, UAF, Python, Java, or C++.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Modular Open System Approach (MOSA).
  • Familiarity with digital engineering concepts.
  • Experience supporting Navy or Department of Defense (DoD).
