Wasserman is looking for a Music and Entertainment Analyst who will be responsible for gathering and analyzing relevant data to support brand partnership and audience analyses, and the development of associated strategies in the music and entertainment space. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and a team-player who is committed to delivering excellent work quality while staying at the forefront of audience intelligence research.

They will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment that requires them to toggle between various capabilities and expertise as they support a rotating roster of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Translate large datasets into actionable insights and present those findings across the organization to a variety of audiences
  • Use syndicated, proprietary and other data access tools to research, analyze, and extract consumer/fan insights and industry/client data.
  • Leverage derived insights to develop influential storylines and presentations (e.g. partnership valuations, brand and talent strategies, market landscapes, partnership point-of-view reports, etc.).
  • Develop white space analyses and articulate areas for opportunity for music and entertainment clients; sponsorship/partnership, audience evaluation, social analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends within music, live event ticketing, and broader entertainment and culture landscapes. Leverage these trends through developing sharp insights to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations and communications to ensure on-time delivery of work.
  • Evaluate and vet new technologies and vendors that could/would improve our current service offerings or contribute to the development of a new product in the music or entertainment space.
  • Participate in a positive, collaborative environment that aligns with company culture and values.
  • As assigned, lead or assist in business development RFP or RFI responses related to insights spanning the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience desired
  • Experience or knowledge of music industry/entertainment industry preferred
  • High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • High level of interest-in/understanding of social analysis metrics.
  • Understanding of syndicated research tools preferred (e.g. Scarborough, GWI, Mintel)
  • Experience developing and telling stories rooted in data and subsequent insights
  • Possess an innate curiosity and proactivity in tackling opportunities or surfacing new thinking.
  • Strong communication skills – both writing and presenting.
  • Consistent attention to detail and highly organized
  • High level of initiative and can work well independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Benefits

Base salary range: $60,000-$95,000 plus bonus potential if applicable for role.

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role
