The Opportunity
In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business,we’readvancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
This field-based, National Product Trainer – LAAO,is responsible forenhancing Abbott’s ability tosell trans-catheter structural heart devices andprocedures through field and customer training tooptimizeprocedural outcomes, efficiencies, and adoption. This position is geographically based and spendssignificant timein the field with customers. Strong leadership and teamwork skills arerequired. The position requires experience and knowledge to integrate with sales management, marketing, R&D, clinical science, clinical operations, and other cross functional groups. This position also requires project and program management skills for the development and execution of field and customer product training programs.

WhatYou’llDo
As a member of the LAAO Training team,the jobrequires the following responsibilities:
Teamwork
Integration with Abbott’s Product Training department team members to develop programs, content, curriculumneeded to authorize new sites,physiciansand Abbott proctors foroptimizingclinical outcomes, efficiencies, and program development
Collaboration and alignment with commercial leadership and marketing
Member of R&D product design teams as needed
Collaboration with Clinical as needed
Leadership skills
Drive alignment with sales leadership on key strategic training needs (new hires/sites, product launches, challenging outcomes,etc.).
Ability to work confidentially for individual product performance assessments and coaching.
Collaboration with KOL physicians and Abbott cross-functional teams (R&D, Clinical, Marketing,etc) for alignment on critical training initiatives
Interpersonal, Presentation, and Implementation Skills
Commercial training skillsets to implement adult learningprincipalsfor Abbott field representative and physician trainees
Work one-on-one with new hires, existing Abbott field representatives, or physician heart team members to support outcomes and efficiencies along with best practices
Present andtrainat Abbott field and customer educational programs
Product, procedure, and screening training content creation

This position is accountable for US Amulet product technical trainingof fieldand customersto ensureoptimaloutcomes withappropriatecompliance. In-depth product knowledge, program management, and commercial training skillsets arerequired. Ongoing cross-functional team partnerships withCommercial leadership,MD KOLs,Marketing,R&D, Clinical Engineering, Clinical Science, Quality, andothers are also critical for successful plans and implementation. Field-based customer interactions for training andchallengecase diagnosis/solutions will alsofacilitateoptimalclinical outcomes& efficiencies. All locally learned training andbest practiceswill be transformed intotrainingcurriculum.
RequiredQualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of related work experience with a good understanding ofspecifiedfunctional area or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Training experiencepreferred.
Direct experience working with and training physician customers.
A clinical background and/or strong clinical knowledge and aptitude.
Program management experience.
Strong communicationskills, specifically an ability to deliver effective training to large and small audiences.
Ability to work with several levels within the organization and in cross functional teams.
Solid understanding and application of business concepts, procedures, and practices.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
50-75% travelrequired.
