SUMMARY:
The Scheduling Coordinator contacts patients to confirm demographic information, review equipment/supply financial responsibility and to schedule equipment set-up appointments. This role also routinely checks orders for accuracy, researches and resolves any discrepancies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Contact assigned patients and confirm demographic information.
- Calculate and review anticipated costs with the patient.
- Schedule equipment set-up.
- Review orders for accuracy; research and resolve any discrepancies, partnering with referral team members as needed to accomplish the resolution.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Six months’ experience in a medical/insurance/healthcare field.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a remote full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a home office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
