Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to support our legal and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our properties and business practices adhere to local and state laws and regulations, managing state registrations, and acting as the initial point of contact for legal inquiries. This role requires a blend of administrative and legal skills to handle tenant/homeowner disputes and corporate legal matters efficiently.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and oversee state registrations and compliance documentation.
- Act as the first point of contact for legal inquiries, including tenant/homeowner disputes and corporate legal matters.
- Assist in drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, property managers, and other external parties to resolve legal issues.
- Maintain organized records of all legal and compliance-related activities.
- Stay updated with changes in property law, judicial decisions, and regulatory requirements affecting the residential property management industry or the company’s operations.
- Assist our property management team with legal research and guidance as questions arise.
- Provide litigation support as needed.
What You Have:
- Paralegal Certification or Bachelor’s degree or higher in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in property management or real estate law.
- Strong understanding of local and state property laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and research skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.
- Experience in corporate transactions or real estate.
