Job Description

Job TypeFull-timeDescription

Trusted Doctors is seeking a collaborative, energetic, and team-oriented Behavioral Health Provider to support the implementation of behavioral health services across its Maryland-based pediatric practices, targeting youth ages up to 21. Most of the Behavioral Health Provider’s time will be spent in patient service delivery. In this role, the Behavioral Health Provider will primarily be responsible for providing time-limited evidence-based and skills-based therapy to youth as well as supporting care coordination and referral to specialized treatment when higher levels of care are clinically indicated. The Behavioral Health Provider is responsible for developing a relationship with referred patients while assisting the patient through the process of actively working towards their established health goals, helping to overcome any barriers inhibiting goals, and providing support, encouragement, and education where needed. Behavioral Health services will be provided both virtually and in-office. The Behavioral Health Provider will also support medical providers in their provision of screening and brief motivational interventions and respond to behavioral health consults when substance risk and mental health concerns are identified.

The Behavioral Health Provider will work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, nurses, front office staff, and community providers at referring practices. The Behavioral Health Provider will join a growing team within Trusted Doctors focusing on the behavioral health needs of patients. One position is currently being sought with the expectation of adding additional positions over time. Given the geographic spread of Trusted Doctors-affiliated divisions across Maryland, the Behavioral Health Provider may be embedded within one to two practice locations and will service the others virtually.

This position will maintain absolute confidentiality of all referred out-patients’ records, medical treatment and diagnosis, and abide with all policies and procedures of Trusted Doctors practices.
