Position Overview:
Remedies Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician with experience using PrimeRx pharmacy software. The ideal candidate will assist with prescription processing, refill management, insurance-related tasks, and communication with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive timely and accurate service.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and process prescription information accurately in PrimeRx.
Manage and process automatic prescription refills for patients.
Contact physicians' offices to obtain prior authorizations and prescription approvals.
Verify prescription information and ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures.
Assist pharmacists with prescription workflow and patient support.
Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Resolve prescription-related issues and follow up on pending requests.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
Support daily pharmacy operations and administrative tasks as needed. Requirements
Previous Pharmacy Technician experience required.
Experience using PrimeRx pharmacy software strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience handling prior authorizations and insurance-related pharmacy processes is a plus.
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and prescription workflow.
