Position Responsibilities
The Philanthropy Management department is the program area that primarily drives Sitawi’s impact. It manages the finances of philanthropy funds to ensure capital is allocated more efficiently and ensures that partner organizations focus their time and effort on the programmatic management of their social and environmental projects, while the department develops customizable services with a high level of compliance, security, and adherence to regulations.
General Responsibilities
The hired professional will be responsible for carrying out various routine tasks within the department, including supporting the administrative and financial management of the project(s); maintaining relationships with donors and beneficiaries; preparing and updating data in spreadsheets and systems; organizing and archiving digitized documents; and other tasks inherent to the department. The candidate will have the support of the team and will report to the Philanthropy Management Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with the physical and financial monitoring of projects, under the supervision of the responsible department;
Support the daily bank reconciliation of current accounts related to projects;
Monitor the flow of projected disbursements and support budget control, reporting to the department head;
Assist in the analysis of project financial statements, supporting the validation process conducted by the technical team;
Collaborate in organizing and verifying the information included in periodic financial reports;
Monitor project timelines;
Support the analysis of beneficiary registration documents and contracts;
Perform administrative tasks related to the organization and systematization of information, documents, and meeting minutes pertaining to the planning and execution of Philanthropic Funds;
Attend internal and external meetings, as requested, to support the responsible team;
Support interactions with founders, beneficiaries, and other departments at Sitawi, under the guidance of the internship supervisor;
Contribute to harmonious teamwork by encouraging the exchange of information and a spirit of collaboration;
Perform other related activities within the department, consistent with the educational nature of the internship.
Mandatory Requirements
Mandatory requirements for the position:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Law, or related fields;
Advanced proficiency in computer tools—Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
Strong time management and task prioritization skills;
Attention to detail;
Basic to intermediate English;
Collaborative and hands-on attitude;
Strong oral and written communication skills.
