About the role:
As a PHP/Laravel Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web solution for the Dutch audiology market using the Laravel framework. You'll be working with a small dedicated team in a big organization to understand project requirements, design and implement solution and ensure the smooth operation our web application.
What will you do:- Develop and maintain web applications using the Laravel framework
- Design and implement efficient, scalable and secure code for our web application
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in web applications and provide timely resolutions
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP and Laravel development, and suggest improvements to enhance application performance and usability
- Maintain documentation of code and project tasks and contribute to technical specifications
- Proven 4+ yrs experience with PHP web development
- Proficient with the Laravel framework
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL and ORM (Object Relational Mapping) frameworks like Eloquent
- Strong understanding of web application security best practices
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure is a plus
- Familiarity with Linux environment and server administration
- Fluent in English
- Strong problem-solver able to find solutions to complex issues
- Able to collaborate with development teams across different locations
