Position Overview
The purpose of this position is perform complex policy and regulation development, review and maintenance for the UNT System in collaboration with operating departments and UNT Institutions. The position will assist in setting the strategic direction of the policy program including prioritizing and ensuring currency of all policies under the direction of senior leadership. The work involves researching, analyzing, drafting, editing, revising, coordinating, developing, and evaluating policies. The position also manages processes and tools to coordinate, track, document approval, implement, publish and communicate all new policy development and revisions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and four years' of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and teamwork across organizational levels and boundaries.

- % - Serves as the key contact for UNT System policy and regulation development - ()
- % - Drafts, edits, revises, critiques, and evaluates new and revised policies and regulations independently or in conjunction with subject matter experts. - ()
- % - Collaborates with and provides assistance to subject-matter experts, administrators, General Counsel, and stakeholders to ensure all new and revised policies and regulations are compliant with System standards, consistent in format, and void of conflict of duplication with existing policies or regulations. - ()
- % - Analyzes and researches internal and external policies and policy-making procedures; makes recommendations for changes and improvements. - ()
- % - Organizes the cyclical review of Regents Rules, System regulations, and System policies to ensure they remain accurate, effective, and aligned with the System's strategic objectives. - ()
- % - Develops timelines and establishes deadlines for policy revision, development, approval, and implementation. - ()
- % - Provides transparent communication and recordkeeping/status reports to management, administration, and stakeholders. - ()
- % - Provides training regarding policy process and best practices to policy stakeholders. - ()
- % - Maintains policy website and administers policy management platform. - ()
- % - Maintains an information database/library and serves as the historian for all current and former Regents Rules, System regulations and System policies. - ()
