Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific research projects to fuel Intel's growth in the areas of computing, communication, technology and manufacturing and new business opportunity

  • Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically 7+ years prior to landing on a product roadmap

  • Plans and executes laboratory research

  • Maintains substantial knowledge of state of the art principles and theories, and contributes to scientific literature and conferences

  • May participate in development of intellectual property and coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts

  • Performing research in Post-Quantum Cryptography, proposing scalable solutions, and building SW prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility of technical solutions

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Studying PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with emphasis on Post Quantum Cryptography

  • 1+ years of experience in below areas: one or more publications on cryptography in a peer-reviewed conferences/journals, Post Quantum Digital Signature and Key Encapsulation algorithms, Lattice-Based Cryptography, proficiency in software design and implementation, and robustness to side-channels

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (we work in English)

  • Self-motivated, show initiative, identify and drive closure of technical issues towards maturing research vectors

  • Present complex issues with clarity to drive decisions

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/kveei-2023-05-19.pdf.

A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.

Prior to entering an employment agreement, the employee will be asked to provide all documents and references to verify any service times of prior employment. Based on provided documents the appropriate number of service years will be credited as prior employment.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
