In this role, you will develop and execute PR campaigns that position our company and executives as trusted voices within the financial services industry.
You will be responsible for securing media opportunities across financial publications, business news outlets, podcasts, newsletters, and other relevant channels. Working closely with the marketing team and company leadership, you will create compelling stories, build relationships with journalists and media professionals, and help amplify our brand through meaningful media exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute public relations and media outreach strategies that increase brand visibility and credibility.
Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
Research, identify, and pitch compelling story ideas to journalists, editors, producers, and media outlets.
Secure media placements in financial publications, business news outlets, trade publications, podcasts, newsletters, and other relevant channels.
Coordinate podcast interviews, media interviews, speaking engagements, and other thought leadership opportunities for company executives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, and media contacts.
Develop and maintain media lists and outreach databases.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy company announcements, product launches, and industry insights.
Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR campaign performance and brand exposure.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor coverage, and emerging media opportunities.
Ensure all public-facing communications align with the company's messaging, branding, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Requirements
4+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or a similar role.
Proven success securing media coverage through strategic outreach and relationship building.
Experience pitching stories to financial, business, or professional publications.
Existing relationships with journalists, editors, producers, or media outlets are highly preferred.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience writing and distributing press releases.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
Experience working with financial services, investment firms, fintech, legal, or other regulated industries.
Experience securing placements in publications such as Forbes, Investopedia, Seeking Alpha, Yahoo Finance, or similar high-authority outlets.
Familiarity with SEO and content marketing to maximize the reach of media coverage.
