Job Description

ikaros is a growth and analytics consultancy with team members based in Australia, Asia, Europe, and North America. Leveraging high-velocity experimentation, data, and automation, Ikaros has delivered significant growth for its clients.

Since its founding in 2019, Ikaros has established a track record of measurable success, having worked with scale-ups, VC/PE, and corporate clients across all types of industries. Clients include Mad Paws, My Muscle Chef, Pearler, Baselane, Justworks, FullStory, and many more.

With a team of experts and entrepreneurs, ikaros delivers strategic advice as a fractional Chief Growth Officer, executes initiatives end-to-end as a dedicated Growth Pod, or embeds with existing teams to fill capacity and capability gaps, providing flexible solutions tailored to its clients' needs.

We love our work, getting stuff done and having a good time doing it. You will be working directly with other consultants, clients and contractors.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and client relationships with fast growing scale-ups, PE-owned SMEs, and corporates looking for new growth opportunities across Australia, Europe, APAC and the US.

  • Manage and provide guidance to team members, freelancers, agencies, and client personnel. This role entails overseeing 2 full-time employees and 3 contractors.

  • Develop growth strategy, processes and get your hands dirty to drive implementation to push client engagements forward.

  • Help build ikaros as the leading growth and analytics authority.

  • Drive our outreach and pitching efforts to generate new business.

  • Identify and test new growth ideas in a fast-paced environment.

  • Leverage your analytics skills to deliver performance insight and advice to customer management.

  • Optimise established campaigns and channels to reduce CAC.

  • Employ your understanding of our client’s customers and their journey to develop high-impact acquisition campaigns across online and offline channels.

  • Build and test funnels to nurture and convert leads.

  • Work on product, UX and monetisation strategies to drive growth.

  • Keep your hand on the marketing pulse, evaluating emerging channels and strategies.

What we are Offering

  • A competitive salary

    • $160,000 - $190,000 plus super (total package of ~ $178,000 - $211,000)

    • plus bonus based on company and individual performance (profit-share)

  • Contribute directly to the strategic direction of the company.

  • $1,500 annual training & career development budget.

  • $1,500 annual technology and home office budget.

  • Hybrid work flexibility (from home or our vibrant office in Barangaroo stocked with snacks & drinks) and optional weekend Wednesday.

  • First-hand experience in building two new businesses at the same time — ‘growth-as-a-service’ and our product business.

  • High-impact work environment — your work will make a big difference.

  • Learn from a small, highly experienced team with a strong track record in their fields.

  • A diverse team that likes to have fun.

  • Regular team-building events.

  • Free weekly team lunch.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Project management experience—even better if this is part of client-facing projects.

  • Existing growth/marketing experience, ideally at a fast scaling start-up.

  • Quick to learn and apply new knowledge.

  • Experience in A/B testing, funnel and landing page optimisation, and data analysis.

  • Performance and results-oriented.

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking; SQL-knowledge is a big plus.

  • Strong technical understanding; coding experience is a plus.

  • Highly creative, identifying and acting on new growth and optimisation opportunities.

Timeline & Role Type

This role is available as a full-time position or as a 7-month maternity cover, with the preferred start date in April. This timing allows for a one-month overlap with our current employee, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.

Should a full-time position be preferable, we have flexibility regarding the commencement date.
