The Opportunity
In this position, you will report to the Global Head, Private Capital and Impact Investing and work with other private capital team members and proposal-specific teams stood up for each opportunity. You will be working on developing technical solutions to mobilize private capital as part of winning proposal and implementing client projects in the international development sector.
Core Responsibilities
New Business: (50%)
- Support in design, writing and production of reports and/or concept notes, including creating innovative financing solutions such as blended finance transaction and structures, guarantees, impact bonds, etc.
- Support with business development and proposals for USG Intl as needed.
- Maintain an understanding of current impact investing trends and remain up to date on regional and development financing themes.
Implementation: (30%)
- Research country specific funding trends and priorities of potential partners for projects under delivery and implement innovative financing solutions.
- Develop compelling partner communications materials (like brochures etc.) and outreach.
- Maintain an understanding of current programmatic needs and remain up to date on regional and development themes across projects.
Impact Investing and Blended Finance Research: (20%)
- Conduct geographic, sector and strategic aligned research on impact investing trends and organizations for a landscape analysis.
- Support with thought leadership activities such as webinars and reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Value
- Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent inter-personal, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Good management and planning skills of project tasks
- Experience working in impact investments or measurements
- Experience developing and/ or implementing USAID projects

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $79,000 to $127,000 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
