Job Description

Join us on our mission to revolutionise the professional services market by bridging the gap between individual freelancers and enterprise-level projects through a superior type of supplier - the Vico.

Our SaaS platform provides the legal, organisational and transactional infrastructure that enables freelancers to build teams (Virtual Companies) which can compete with traditional service providers, without all the organisational overhead. Through Vicoland, clients can run their projects 30 - 50% more cost-efficiently, while freelancers can easily scale their work and access larger projects than anywhere else.

Since our launch 2 years ago, our Vicos worked with several world-renowned clients such as Netflix, AWS, SAP, Tupperware, Smart, Becton Dickinson and Colliers. This already garnered media attention - Forbes called Vicoland the "Startup of Startups" and Forrester listed us under the top 7 freelancer marketplaces.

We're laser-focused on our growth & accelerating the development of Vicoland and are looking for a Product Designer to support us on this journey. Our agile product team is split into squads of Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers and QAs.

Tasks

  • create simple, delightful, and functional product experiences using the Vicoland design system
  • partner with Product Managers to identify the biggest opportunities in your domain
  • drive product discovery to ideate, create, test and iterate on solutions
  • collaborate with Engineers to bring your ideas to life
  • conduct and evaluate continuous user interviews to identify and validate new opportunities

Requirements

  • You are curious, hands-on and driven to learn in a start-up environment
  • You’re user-obsessed and familiar with common product discovery methodologies, like user interviews, user journey mapping, prototyping, data-informed decision-making and usability testing
  • You understand and prioritise based on the business value of UI/UX improvements
  • Proficiency in working with Figma or other design tools
  • Proactively collaborate with stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written German and English communication skills
  • 2+ years of experience in designing digital products

Benefits

  • A start-up environment where you can implement changes in days, not weeks.
  • Real, immediately visible impact on company results and your growth trajectory, incl. exciting career perspectives.
  • Independence - we love people who can take ownership and drive results autonomously.
  • We embrace collaboration and fast feedback to iterate quickly.
  • Competitive compensation plus participation in ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan), so that you can co-own the company you work for.
  • Collaborating with a highly talented team with diverse backgrounds and top-notch qualifications.
  • Possibility to work from where you want when you want, remotely or in one of our offices (Barcelona, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Seville).

Last but not least, even if you don't meet some requirements, you can still apply! What matters most is the motivation and passion for design and great user experience. The rest can be learned.
