Job Description

We are looking for a Product Designer to help our Product Team execute against our ambitious growth goals. This role will be a pivotal part of our continued success in the UK but also support our US expansion plans and help us win there.

As a Product Designer, you will collaborate across multiple cross functional product and engineering teams in developing new enhancements for our platform and devising innovative designs to deliver enhanced value to our clients.

Reporting directly to the Lead Product Manager, you'll play a central role in charting the course of our product's evolution, ensuring our continued leadership in innovation within the retail industry.

Our platform combines the data unification and customer insight of a CDP with an experience platform, letting retail marketers easily and efficiently create experiences their customers love across email, mobile, on-site, social, direct mail and more.

Key Outcomes

  • Spearhead the design component of multiple strategic projects from ideation through to delivery.
  • Drive design best practices and continue to build up our component library.
  • Work across engineering teams to ensure all projects adhere to our overall design standards and design language.
  • Effectively prioritise your time across multiple teams so that each team gets what they need from design when they need it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand our users’ goals, their day to day and the obstacles they face
  • Lead ideation sessions with stakeholders from the Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Professional Services teams
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams of engineers and other product managers / designers to solve customer problems
  • Produce low fidelity designs before working closely with a Product Manager and Engineering to refine those designs
  • Produce prototypes to be used to communicate proposed user flows internally to Engineers and test solutions with users
  • Plan and lead structured user testing sessions to validate your overarching solutions as well as the fine detail of the UI/UX
  • As features are being built, work with a highly collaborative cross-functional team to steer the execution from a UI and UX perspective
  • Ensure the solutions the team delivers are aligned to user needs and track well against our design principles
  • Work closely with other product designers to ensure your work is connected to other new features or enhancements that are ongoing or in the pipeline
  • Contribute towards building out our design system by owning specific atoms, molecules, components or patterns throughout the design process

Requirements

  • At least 3-4 years of product design (UX & UI) experience in a B2B SaaS environment - bonus if any is in the marketing space.
  • Experience of using, contributing to and updating a design system
  • User-centric - you care deeply about users and their experience using a product. You collect data and lead sessions to become an expert on who they are.
  • Teamwork - you can collaborate effectively with other designers to implement a consistent vision and translate that to multiple teams.
  • Curious - you are always keen to understand the ‘why?’
  • Innovative - you can solve problems is ways not obvious to others, or lead groups through the process of innovating themselves
  • Growth mindset - you always want to find ways to improve or help your colleagues improve, delivering and receiving constructive feedback with empathy
  • Organised - you can plan your time independently to meet the needs of many competing stakeholders
  • Pragmatic - you know there might be many ways of solving a problem, and that the most comprehensive way is not always the best way
