Karbon is looking for an experienced Product Marketer to play a significant role in driving our next phase of growth. You will manage the go-to-market strategies for Karbon’s billing and payments product offerings. This includes leading the development and implementation of positioning, messaging, sales enablement materials, and internal education to drive demand, adoption, and success amongst new and existing Karbon customers.

This role is highly cross-functional and will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Product Marketing and the broader Marketing team. You will develop go-to-market strategies, lead the launches of new product features, and build the narrative of Karbon’s product and features across the customer lifecycle through engagements, billing, payments and collections.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and executing all go-to-market activities for Karbon Billing Payments to drive demand, awareness, adoption, and success amongst new and existing Karbon customers
  • Managing and executing Billing Payments product launches and feature releases
  • Clearly articulating our product’s value in a way that resonates with the market
  • Creating concise and compelling enablement collateral to improve sales close rates and customer adoption, including sales playbooks and pitch assets
  • Partnering cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success to drive Payments adoption through activities including customer outreach, customer business reviews, webinars and more
  • Tracking and analyzing buyer behavior, KPIs and data to provide actionable insights that improve strategy and performance
  • Contributing towards the go-to-market strategies and product marketing needs of the broader Karbon product
  • Contributing towards product feature messaging architecture, value propositions and messaging that communicates the value of all Karbon features
  • Gathering market intelligence through competitive, industry, and buyer research to ensure positioning and collateral reflect our strengths
  • Developing and refining marketing/sales buyer personas
  • Creating and coordinating product marketing content including case studies, customer stories, product newsletter, and other content to educate our market and accelerate the journey for prospects down the marketing funnel
  • Maintaining intelligence on competition and industry, staying on top of the latest happenings in the accounting space, and providing insights cross-functionally

About you

  • 5+ years experience in marketing, product marketing, or product roles (SaaS preferred), with at least 1 year of experience working in Payments
  • Excellent content and copy skills — you’re great with words, you appreciate brand voice and tone, you can channel the voice of the customer and adapt to write for different audiences, and are confident tackling resources, assets, webinars, demos, and briefs for both the internal team and our customers
  • An ability to understand people and customers through interviews, analysis and research
  • A knack for finding interesting ways to take a new feature to market to give it the recognition it deserves
  • Outstanding people and communication skills that will allow you to work across different teams, functions, timezones and regions
  • An ability to look at data, numbers, customer research and qualitative data, and use it to understand what’s happening and what people need
  • Knowledge of the accounting industry and/or accounting technology ecosystem, or if not, a willingness to get to know this industry inside and out

Bonus points if you have:

  • SaaS or FinTech experience
  • Experience marketing to professional service businesses
  • Scaleup environment experience

Why work at Karbon?
