Job Description

Summary

The epay Global Team has expanded its portfolio to support the epay functional businesses in the areas of Data Analytics (Insights), Marketing, HR and Finance.

We need to expand the Delivery Team to work under the Portfolio Manager and Functional Leads across our business. The prime objective for the Agile Delivery Lead / Program Manager will be to ensure the successful execution of epay’s business strategies in the respective functional area.

By expanding the Delivery Team, we aim to strengthen our operational capabilities and enhance our ability to deliver on key initiatives. The Agile Delivery Lead / Program Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating and aligning efforts across Functions and Departments, fostering effective collaboration and driving the achievement of epay’s strategic objectives.

Through the combined expertise of the Agile Delivery Lead / Program Manager and Functional Leads, we anticipate improved coordination, streamlined processes and heightened focus on achieving epay’s overarching business goals. This expansion signifies our commitment to delivering expectational results and driving growth within the epay business.

Supervision

Reports to and works under the administrative supervision of the Portfolio Manager.

Essential Duties

  • Deliver projects, products, and services using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently.
  • Work with the Product Manager / Owner to define the roadmap for any given product and translate this into user stories.
  • Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process – prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team.
  • Matrix-managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • Protect the team and make sure the team collaborates, communicates, and focuses on what is most important.
  • Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage (alpha/beta/production).
  • Continually drive the teams, Product Manager / Owner, and key business members to make sure roadmaps are constantly moving.
  • Actively participating in the Delivery Manager community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge, and bringing in best practices.
  • Coach team members and others, facilitate continuous improvement, and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for their environment.

Required Qualities

  • Able to listen to the needs of technical and business stakeholders and interpret them. Able to manage stakeholders’ expectations and be flexible, is capable of proactive and reactive communication. Facilitates difficult discussions within the team or with diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Able to facilitate the delivery flow of a team, managing the pace and tempo. Able to actively address internal and external risks, issues, and dependencies including where ownership exists outside the team.
  • Able to identify and challenge organizational processes of increasing complexity and those processes that are unnecessarily complicated. Able to add value and can coach the organization to inspect and adapt processes. Guides teams through the implementation of a new process.
  • Understands the environment and can prioritize the most important and highest value tasks. Able to use data to inform planning. Able to manage complex internal and external dependencies. Able to provide delivery confidence. Able to remove blockers or impediments that affect the plan and can develop a plan for difficult situations. Ensures teams plan appropriately for their capacity.
  • Able to bring people together to form a motivated team. Able to empower delivery teams. Able to help create the right environment for a team to work in. recognizes and deals with issues. Able to facilitate the best team makeup depending on the situation.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours, as needed.
  • Ability to travel internationally, as necessary.

Required Experience

  • Must possess 1+ years' experience in an Agile Delivery Lead / Delivery Manager role or similar.
  • Understands agile principles.
  • Worked within an environment using Frameworks/Methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
  • Good numerical, oral, and written skills; capable of producing high-quality documentation.
