Job Description

Precision for Medicine is hiring Project Specialist to support our Translational Sciences team. The position can be covered fully remotely from Poland, Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, UK or Germany.

Position Summary:

The Project Specialist role supports the Global Project Management team supporting CRO laboratory projects across a range of disciplines all with the focus on accelerating the development and adoption of novel therapeutics. This role participates in activities to support the coordination and management of projects and/or programs through all stages of development, at all Precision sites, and during all aspects of operations. The Project Specialist will support the team leading project with scope of work including assay development and clinical testing, biorepository/sample management and logistics, and kitting for client studies spanning the globe.

Essential Information:

  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Developing professional expertise; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • Contacts are both internal to the company as well as external client contact on routine matters (e.g., meeting minutes); builds productive internal/external working relationships
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments; exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for supporting the management of translational sciences and lab services contracts as it relates to data oversight, data reconciliation, and follow up to both internal and client team; when required, help prepare reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify the goals and requirements of each project
  • Support in updating metrics to better understand team performance, and provide reports using these metrics
  • When needed, assist Project Manager with setting up meetings, and providing meeting support, such as taking minutes, documenting action items, and drafting agendas.
  • Help update project timelines and provide forecasting for project delivery
  • Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and overall strategy
  • Work with all resources for associated tasks in an efficient manner in order to achieve successful completion of assigned project tasks to meet specifications and contractual obligations
  • When needed, participate in and potentially complete monthly client invoicing for
  • Identify and suggest improvements to processes and procedures
  • Complete other project work, as needed, including but not limited to tracking samples test orders, submitting kit orders, supporting data resolution, or submission and monitoring of shipping tasks.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Associate's degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in a life science or related field, plus a minimum of 1 year of coordination, planning, lab or repository experience; in some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, has an uncanny ability to make internal colleagues and clients feel understood

Other Required:

  • Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software programs, including MS Office/MS 365 applications
  • Professional and mature emphasis on client service and project delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multitasking skills required; able to communicate with personnel across diverse technical and business backgrounds both internally and externally
  • Able to work in front of a computer for hours at a time
  • Strong understanding of project management and data analysis
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent research and reporting skills
  • Flexible to work extended hours as required to meet project deadlines
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent use of judgment and discretion
  • Able to read, write, and fluently speak and comprehend the English language
  • Proven track record of being a team player, willing to interact proactively and productively, at times independently
  • Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally, including overnight stays (~5%)
