About the role:
As a Backend Developer at Zyte, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our robust backend systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance Zyte’s core products and will lead the implementation of features across all parts of our core platform.
Requirements
Roles Responsibilities:
- Develop and troubleshoot distributed applications, write and change components implemented in Python and manage concerns such as scalability, transparency, failure handling, security and multi-tenancy.
- Work on new features, including requirements gathering, design and implementation. You should be able to own and be responsible for the complete lifecycle of your features and code.
- Collaborate with other engineering groups and our QA team to ensure excellent user experiences.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building scalable systems that operate reliably under high load.
- Strong track record in Python with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience at least one async framework.
- Strong knowledge of at least one RDBMS.
- Experience with data pipelines and distributed message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience in building containerized applications, microservices.
- Professional experience in building web applications with python and frameworks (Django, Flask, Fast API).
- Good communication skills in English.
- Experience of collaboration in a remote-first team.
- Good with refactoring and software design patterns.
- Computer Science, other engineering degree or equivalent working experience.
Bonus points for:
- Kubernetes experience.
- Experience with Uvicorn, Starlette.
- Experience building event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of today's cloud provider offerings: GCP, AWS, OCI etc.
- History of open source contributions.
- Professional experience in Angular.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
