Position Overview:
As a Recruiter at EDMO, you will be a vital member of our talent acquisition team, playing a crucial role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting exceptional individuals who will contribute to our mission of inspiring curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning in young minds. You will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, collaborating closely with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screenings of candidates to assess their qualifications, interests, and alignment with EDMO's culture.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, evaluating candidates' skills, experiences, and cultural fit.
- Partner closely with the hiring team to understand staffing needs.
- Facilitate effective communication between candidates, recruiting, and Program Managers ensuring alignment throughout the selection process.
- Acts as a liaison for Program Managers and Partner Relations Managers keeping them informed on applicants and staying in touch with hiring needs.
- Provide a positive and responsive candidate experience by promptly responding to inquiries, providing timely updates, and guiding candidates through the recruitment and onboarding experience.
- Ensure that candidates have a clear understanding of EDMO's values, mission, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong network of potential candidates for current and future openings, fostering long-term relationships.
- Manage the program’s end-to-end recruitment process, including interview scheduling, feedback collection, offer negotiation, and onboarding paperwork.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records.
- Maintain systems for all records pertaining to the hiring, onboarding, and evaluation.
- Manage communication pertaining to all initial and ongoing staff training for new hires.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or 3 years of experience in recruiting/management roles, with a strong understanding of HR practices and principles.
- Familiarity with HR software and systems and ability to quickly learn EDMO specific tools (Paylocity, Monday, SLACK, Airtable, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of Google Drive, including file organization, collaboration across teams, and utilizing Google Drive’s advanced search and permissions settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with CA employment laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for and commitment to EDMO's mission and values.
- Bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This position requires the ability to occasionally lift 25 pounds to a height of 3-4 feet

Location Requirements:
This is a remote position based in Northern California, with occasional in-person attendance required for recruiting events. This position will not be hired until January of 2025.
Compensation:
This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position. The pay range for this position is $25 - $26.50 hourly and will be commensurate on experience.
