DESCRIPTION:

The Regional Manager position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Senior Site Operations Manager, this cryptocurrency mining site regional manager will oversee our Cryptocurrency mining operations in North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska.

The Regional Manager is responsible for leading a talented team of site managers and creating productive and efficient mining facilities. In addition, the Regional Manager is responsible for driving a culture of professionalism, operational excellence, and creating a place where people love to work and build a career.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess good communication skills, excellent organizational skills, broad knowledge of business functions, and project management experience. The Regional Manager must understand the technical aspects of cryptocurrency mining, support day-to-day business operations, ensure efficient operation of facilities, mitigate risk, and ensure that mining operations meet the needs of clients.

This position is open to candidates who desire to travel up to 50% of the time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and direction to site managers across multiple cryptocurrency mining operations, ensuring each site operates efficiently and meets performance targets.
  • Coach and support site managers in developing their leadership capabilities, with a focus on effective people management, including handling employee relations issues.
  • Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations across all sites, ensuring that teams are properly trained and follow established protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and optimizing site performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set performance goals, track KPIs, and provide regular updates on site performance, budget management, and operational challenges.
  • Support site managers in workforce planning, talent development, and team-building efforts, fostering a positive work environment where employees can thrive and grow.
  • Ensure consistency in operational procedures and promote the sharing of best practices across all sites to maintain a high standard of operations.
  • Lead efforts to mitigate risks and resolve operational issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations.
  • Facilitate regular communication between site managers and senior leadership to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and to address any challenges that arise.
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability across all sites, ensuring all employees adhere to safety standards and company policies.

ABOUT YOU:

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple locations, preferably within the technology, data center, or crypto mining industries.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience ensuring compliance across multiple sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop mid-level managers in managing teams, improving performance, and handling employee relations issues.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and successfully achieving KPIs and budget targets.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in process optimization and implementing best practices across multiple sites.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use operational data to drive decision-making and improve performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a 24/7 operational environment with a strong understanding of network, electrical, and mechanical systems, particularly in a data center or technology infrastructure setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based programs; experience with project management and operations tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to support multiple site locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift (up to 75 pounds).
  • Ability to work in a data center environment, which may involve exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead to perform tasks.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds as needed.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and working at heights as required to maintain equipment.
