Location: Field Service Scotland

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Service Manager to join our exceptional team in Scotland. The selected candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the profitability of our Field Service activities by providing vehicle repairs to our valued ADL customers, both chargeable and under warranty. They will actively seek and pursue all opportunities for chargeable business, making a significant impact on our success.

Your Dream Role

As a key member of our team, the Regional Service Manager will provide invaluable customer support in resolving any areas of concern related to ADL products. They will manage the information flow and collaborate with relevant departments within ADL to provide accurate technical information and field reports, enabling swift investigation and resolution of customer concerns. Additionally, they will be responsible for organizing and facilitating regular service review meetings at the appropriate level with all customers within their region, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and control a small team of field based engineers, hold customer meetings and meet customer expectations.
  • To provide outstanding after sales support to customers using ADL products.
  • To ensure timely completion of warranty, campaign, and chargeable repair work.
  • To proactively identify and report any reliability, performance, or maintenance issues that may impact customer satisfaction with ADL products.
  • To maintain effective communication with customers regarding service support and product performance.
  • To efficiently manage resources in order to expedite same-day warranty repairs at the call centre.
  • To optimize the utilization of resources for maximum efficiency.

What you will Bring

  • Strong background in vehicle engineering, with a focus on Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) or Public Service Vehicles (PSV).
  • Extensive knowledge of Alexander Dennis products and procedures.
  • Previous experience of managing a service team would be an advantage.
  • Hold a BTech Certificate or equivalent qualification in the field of vehicle engineering.
  • Excellent communicative skills, both written and oral, along with proficiency in using computers.
  • Hold a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) license.
  • Demonstrated experience with vehicle maintenance procedures and customer operations.
