Job Description

Nearpod is seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales, West to join the sales team in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate must be an effective mentor, strategist, and communicator who can take a proactive, consultative approach in developing hard-working sales teams. This role would report directly to the Vice President of Sales, US K12, and work closely with customer success, sales development, enablement, operations, product, marketing, and finance staff. You will lead a team of approximately 19 individuals, including 2 Sales Managers and approximately 17 Sales Representatives. The Sales Managers are passionate about mentoring sales reps on skills and strategy, holding sales reps accountable to meeting clear expectations, presenting key information to sales reps, communicating accurate forecast to the RVP, and participating in cross functional meetings focused on driving overall improvement. The Sales Representatives are focused on closing new and expansion opportunities, crafting sufficient pipeline to predict success, changing existing pipeline through sales stages effectively, and communicating with prospects effectively and with the appropriate cadence. Our Ideal Candidate will:

  • Recruit and hire educational sales executives that consistently exceed their quotas
  • Mentor and develop the knowledge, skills, and strategies Managers and Sales Reps need to exceed their quotas
  • Research, build, and lead or co-lead enablement topics in a whole group setting
  • Lead Performance Reviews and implement coach up plans as needed for direct reports (Manager or Rep)
  • Forecast accurately, consistently landing within 3-5% of each quarterly forecast
  • Collaborate with Enablement, Development, and Marketing to support go-to-market strategies
  • Help communicate, implement, and support the Sales Team’s vision and framework

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 7+ years of district level education and/or education technology sales management experience preferred
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel (at least 25% of time)
  • Track record of scaling successful sales teams
  • Standout colleague with a positive attitude and dedication to exceeding sales objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com
  • Well organized with efficient time management skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be highly professional and able to work with confidential information
  • Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously

Preferred Experience:

  • Intermediate level or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience with UKG
  • Experience leading Managers

Salary Range: The base range for this position is $120,500 to $145,000. This range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location.
