Job Description

TSPi is a dependable and trusted IT solutions provider. Using our technological expertise and industry specific knowledge, we offer our clients end-to-end solutions to their mission challenges. We are looking for a Release Manager to provide support to our government clients.

Release Manager Responsibilities:

  • Work with Development teams to create and fill out Release Story and subtasks.
  • Ensure release artifacts are complete and adhere to FPAC guidelines.
  • Coordinate between Platform and development teams for deployment.
  • Shepherd stories through the deployment workflow.
  • Stay informed about the current and future processes related to release management by attending NRCS/FPAC wide meetings / community of practice (CoP) events.
  • Work with teams on continuous improvement for SDLC related processes.

DevOps Responsibilities:

  • Review environment documentation including infrastructure and networking documentation.
  • Draft development workflows with individual scrum teams to ensure conformity to FPAC DevOps standards.
  • Certify proper code flow through the CI/CD pipeline.
    • Example: Correct use of feature and release branches
    • Understanding of proper branch cutting techniques
  • Enable teams to properly make use of tooling integration (Atlassian suite, Jenkins, AWS services).
  • Collaborate with the Platform Automation team to ensure app automation flow through environments is running as intended.

Required:

  • Experience and practice with development lifecycle, including GitHub Workflow, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of best practices in DevOps.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills – this role involves working with many different teams, vendor and federal.

Preferred experience with:

  • Coding experience (.NET, Typescript, python), while you might not be directly developing code, it’s useful when trying to work with Dev teams on their workflows.
  • Experience with the following:
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Atlassian Suite: Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
  • Visio
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • SonarQube
  • Jenkins
