We are looking for a Rendering Engineer who is ready to push the boundaries of rendering for a AAA title. In this role, you will prototype and build rendering systems to generate the highest quality real-time graphics. Art is one of the major ways to communicate story details needed in a narrative based game. You will work with artists, designers, and the narrative team to help convey the story in cinematics and moment-to-moment gameplay.

Responsibilities:

  • Own medium-scale features, driving them to meet the needs of those holistic solutions. 
  • Implement and maintain production quality C/C++ for features, tools, and workflows.
  • Learn and understand how existing systems work well enough to modify, fix, and profiletheir performance characteristics.
  • Effectively communicate the functionality of your features through both written and verbal methods to stakeholders and team members
  • Provide regular communication updates and coordinate with production regarding scheduling and priorities. 

Requirements & Skills:

  • Good knowledge of C++ 
  • Strong problem solving and math skills
  • Experience with frame debuggers such as RenderDoc, PIX, or RazorGPU.
  • Experience using profilers to measure the timing characteristics of software.
  • Knowledge of shading languages such as HLSL.
  • (Bonus) Unreal Engine experience.

Qualities:

  • Good communication skills visually, verbally and written
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to resolve conflicts

TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.
TNM offers competitive and comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, unlimited PTO, supplemental life and disability, and more. Eligibility to participate in these benefits may vary for part-time or temporary employees.

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $88,000 - $132,000
