Role: Revenue Integrity Specialist

about the role
The Revenue Integrity Specialist is responsible for analyzing, auditing, and ensuring that all revenue-related activities adhere to payer policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The Revenue Integrity Specialist will work closely with various departments and payers to identify and resolve issues, enhance revenue processes, and support overall financial integrity.responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive reviews and audits of revenue transactions, billing processes, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Stay updated on changes in revenue-related regulations and best practices, and implement necessary adjustments to company procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop and implement strategies for improving revenue processes and systems.
Provides training support for new and existing processes, policies, and requirements in collaboration with other internal and external teams.
Review contractual underpayments to drive process improvements.
Navigate several computer applications simultaneously; document all actions taken in appropriate revology and/or client systems.
Complies with and holds with utmost regard all compliance requirements to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.

requirements
- 3+ years of experience in denial management, and/or reimbursement experience working with regulations for medical coding in various settings such as facility, provider based, and/or professional
- Ability to work independently to accomplish goals in a dynamic environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- An aptitude for problem-solving, patience and flexibility while working in the complex industry of healthcare revenue cycle.
- Ability to comfortably navigate a technology-focused setup to efficiently complete assigned work (multiple monitors + several applications open simultaneously).
