RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform mission design activities and trade studies of various trajectory algorithms and RPO approaches
  • Develop and implement robust RPO, trajectory optimization, and optimal planning and scheduling algorithms in C++
  • Perform statistical analysis (Monte Carlo, linear covariance analysis) to support maneuver planning and proximity operations
  • Test and verify algorithms via software and hardware in the loop simulation
  • Work with the Space Operations team to integrate RPO plans and support post-flight analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or similar discipline
  • Experienced with C/C++ and Python
  • 4+ years of experience with RPO and trajectory design
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and solve complex problems with first principles approaches
  • Passion for spaceflight and advancing capabilities related to space domain awareness and space security

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s or PhD in aerospace engineering or similar discipline
  • 2+ years of professional experience writing high-reliability, production C/C++ code
  • Deep technical expertise in one or more of the following: trajectory optimization, planning and scheduling algorithms, astrodynamics, relative navigation

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $158,000-$210,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave
