TRI-K Industries, Inc., a leading supplier & manufacturer of specialty raw materials to the global personal care and cosmetics industry is expanding its domestic sales team and seeks an experienced and qualified candidate for the role of Sales Account Manager - West Coast Region.

The ideal candidate will be located in the greater Los Angeles area, which is the hub of Innovation and Trend Setting, and should be setting their sights to develop into a sales leadership role.

As the Sales Account Manager for the West Coast, you will be responsible for generating sales by maintaining and expanding relationships with clients and prospecting new account relationships within an assigned territory.

Requirements

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 year’s experience as a Sales Account Manager for a leading cosmetic formulation company that includes Actives in its portfolio, and a minimum of 3 years in the lab either in R&D, Technical Services, or Evaluations. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with both the internal team and customers using technical terms to discuss cosmetic formulations in a clear and concise manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Develops and implements strategies to maintain and/or expand sales in conjunction with corporate goals and objectives.

• Prepares and implements short and long terms sales plans for each account

• Forecasts the demand for product(s) and prepares budgets

• Prepares project reports and sales activity reports as requested

• Utilizes and inputs sales calls and related information into Salesforce.com in a timely manner

• Follows up on sample requests

• Meets regularly with the customer to understand their objectives and requirements.

• Develops account relationship, recommends new product and technology, and obtains feedback on products.

• Ensures that sales, R & D, Marketing and Customer Service provide post implementation support to customers.

• Manages and expedites the resolution of customer problems/complaints.

• Prepares and conducts technical/product presentations and demonstrations.

• Participates in trade shows, weekly sales conference calls, and quarterly sales meetings.

• Plans travel and itineraries to maximize client contact and efficiency.

• Prepares expense reports, itinerary and call reports according to schedule.

• Keeps abreast of market trends, new technology, pricing, and customer projects.

Other Requirements:

This is a home-based position which requires some travel, including overnight stays. The greater Los Angeles area is the ideal location but we will consider some other locations.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemistry or biochemistry/organic chemistry.
  • Minimum of 3 Years of experience in the Lab, either in R&D, Technical Services, or Evaluations
  • Minimum of 3 Years of Sales in Actives specialty chemicals related to beauty and chemicals and/or pharmaceuticals (API) B2B sales.
