Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill the role of Sales and Merchandise Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both in-store merchandising and sales, demonstrating exceptional organizational and communication skills. This role involves collaborating with various retail partners, managing merchandising projects, and supporting sales and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient and effective operation between Sales & Marketing efforts
  • Navigate multiple merchandising partner data platforms and Excel outputs to review and track retail execution projects and store set images from multiple retailers (Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.)
  • Ensure products are set, positioned, priced, and merchandised according to expectation
  • Provide actionable and timely follow-up communication to merchandising partners to correct issues and drive result
  • Prepare and communicate merchandising related summary reports to Sales & Marketing teams
  • Support on Zero Sales store project initiatives
  • Support on Operational execution feedback loop (address operational issues through tickets)
  • Research and analyze competitor activities online and in-store through pictures.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Engage in cold calls or online orders to retail stores for program pitches or issue resolution as needed.
  • Provide support and guidance to merchandisers through calls, gather feedback, resolve concerns, and maintain detailed records to enhance retail execution.
  • Assist in developing presentations and meeting preparation
  • Support in preparation of new item setups and new business paperwork
  • Manage organized reporting in Google Drive
  • Special projects as requested by Sales & Marketing Lead to support business needs

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English language skills at either the B2 or C1 level is required.
  • English Resume is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Sales and Marketing roles within the Merchandising industry.
  • Proven experience in both in-store merchandising and sales roles.
  • Proficiency in navigating data platforms, Excel, and Google Drive.
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising, Mass Channel, and/or Home Improvement industry, especially in the Gardening Category.
  • Self-starter with extreme attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including longer hours on some days/months.
  • Energetic and passionate about the gardening industry, with a commitment to building brands.
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn.
