We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who can focus on qualifying new sales opportunities for our Regional Sales Managers. This role will focus on the Parchment product. The Parchment mission is to Turn Credentials Into Opportunities. As the leader in electronic credential exchange, Parchment enables learners to collect, promote, and share their academic credentials for the next step in their educational and career journey. The Parchment platform has helped millions of Learners, thousands of highschools, colleges, and universities, exchange more than 40 million transcripts and other credentials globally. Note, this role will focus on eastern time zone clients so there is a preference for candidates based in the Eastern or Central time zones in the US.
What you will be doing:
- The Sales Development Representative has the responsibility for introducing the Parchment product to new clients. This is done through outbound contacting, inbound leads, trade shows, email campaigns and response to inbound leads.
- The SDR will be responsible to own and manage the prospecting for a designated territory and is responsible to create quarterly plans to achieve quotas.
- Effectively demo Parchment's suite of product via web presentations
- Additionally, SDRs provide regular, accurate forecasts and update lead status using Salesforce.

- Creative and assertive communication skills.
- Open to feedback and development.
- 1+ years of proven sales experience in a B2B environment selling technology solutions preferred.
- Consistently meet/exceed sales quotas within specified time frames.
- Experience selling software products and services preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex enterprise software solutions and use of that knowledge to sell to academic institutions.
- Bachelor's Degree in any related field is preferred, but not needed.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM.
