THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE POSITION. YOU MAY BE RESIDENT OF ANY COUNTRY IN THE AMERICAS EXCEPT USA.

We are looking for a competitive and driven Sales Director to scale Valatam’s growth. The role will involve improving team performance, further developing our existing sales processes, and also coming up with and implementing completely new ideas and initiatives in order to increase sales and improve the department’s functioning.

Who you will be working with:

Valatam consists of a remote internal team of 24 professionals from the United Kingdom and LATAM. Our Founder and our management team have a proven track record of building successful, rapid-growth businesses in the outsourcing sector (Valatam has grown from a team of 1 to more than 200 remote workers in 6 years)

We work very hard, but we also know how to have a laugh. We work 100% remotely and with a high level of autonomy. We believe in accountability, with each team member owning their part of the company operations and thinking like a business owner to push the company forward. We are looking for the right people to fill the right seats, and want our team members to be with us long-term, for them to contribute to the company’s growth and to share in the benefits of that growth.

Main Duties:

  • Take ownership of the sales department, and hold its members accountable to the highest standards.
  • Taking any and all necessary steps to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Develop new sales channels and lead sources.
  • Implement improvements in the department’s processes e.g. lead qualification, sales calls, proposal development, sales and follow-up process, contract negotiation, upselling.
  • Develop and execute new strategic plans and processes.
  • Set goals and KPIs for the sales team, implement scorecards, measure stats, and produce monthly reports to assess performance.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to the sales team (4 sales reps) for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for growing the sales team as required to achieve its goals.
  • Implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Ensuring the team maintains our CRM (Hubspot) and all data accurately and up-to-date.
  • Ensure C-level executives are informed on the progress of sales targets.
  • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships within the industry, potentially traveling to occasional industry conferences and events in the US.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales and proven experience exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrable experience as Head of Sales.
  • A leverageable network of small business contacts.
  • Experience working online and remotely with high autonomy.
  • Native-level English speaking and writing (C1-C2).
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
