Position Overview:

The Sales Operations Lead will deliver both software and services deal review, PO generation, analysis and structure guidance to the Sales team with the mission to meet customer requirements and ePS’ sales revenue goals. This role will also maintain product price books, as well as the business unit pricing tool. Additionally, this role will facilitate significant functions of Sales Compensation. This position will be based out of our Bangalore office.

Position Duties:

  • Support sales and customers via contract creation, and license transfer agreements.
  • Serve as the escalation focal point for the Regional and Global Deal Desk team for all complex deals as well as back up when required.
  • Monitors the Sales Support case queue, consistently maintaining case SLAs.
  • Partners with Field Sales to accelerate quoting process through operational efficiencies.
  • Monitors deal review calls throughout the quarter and end of period cycle to provide general assistance and advice on common deal questions.
  • Structure and own approval process for all deals, including complex and highly visible enterprise sales transactions to meet customers’ critical business requirements while reducing sales cycles and adhering to ePS’ operational policies and accounting practices.
  • Advise the Sales team on deal structure and quoting, including guidance on alternative contract options, and/or value propositioning to help drive deal closure.
  • Manage product and services price book and the Pricing Tool (Excel) – legal + commercial language, functionality, data integrity.
  • Support Sales Organization in all sales compensation related matters.
  • Generate reports and commission data to cross-functional teams, along with booking data analysis as requested.
  • Support our Channel business with contracts, partner communications, pricing, quotes, commissions, SPIFs and global promotions as well as various other sales operations services required for on-boarding, training and continued development in working with ePS.
  • Provide backup to the Sales Enablement (SFDC) support team, as required mentor and guide other Strategic Deal Desk Specialists and support staff, as needed.
  • Customize and configure Salesforce to align with business processes and requirements.
  • Create and manage Salesforce reports, dashboards, and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, provide technical support to users.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and pain points.
  • Analyze and document business processes to identify areas for improvement and automation.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Salesforce best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce updates and new features, recommending their implementation as relevant.
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing system enhancements and optimizations.

Position Requirements:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience as a financial analyst, sales operations specialist (deal desk specifically), and experience supporting a complex Sales organization.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the Enterprise SaaS/B2B Industry - Deal Desk, Order Management, Finance Operations, Sales Operations or Pricing experience preferred Demonstrated ability to partner with GTM Teams and other cross-functional departments.
  • Knowledge of software + equipment business in a global enterprise.
  • General business knowledge, e.g. accounting + tax + legal + IT systems, that can be applied situationally Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules.
  • Highly organized, customer-focused, innovative and strong attention to details.
  • Excellent communicator, self-aware, transparent, professional, and open to feedback.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during End of Month, End or Quarter.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage distractions.
  • Strong quantitative skills and highly proficient in Salesforce.com.
  • Have high emotional IQ (‘EQ’) and ability to maintain poise under pressure.
  • Possess excellent skills in oral and written communication as well as documenting business justifications Possess change management skills and experience with a rapidly changing business environment and ongoing operational improvements.
  • Possess strong analytical, accounting, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce.com (Lightning) in navigation, report generation, and report building required, Salesforce administration preferred.
