Description

SFI is searching for a Salesforce PM to join our team to support a stable multi-year client program. This is a full-time position (with benefits) and is fully funded. The candidate will manage a project to maintain and operate an enterprise Salesforce infrastructure and provide necessary maintenance and service desk support for Salesforce solutions.

Requirements
  • BS or BA in CS, CIS, EE, Math or equivalent technical studies.
  • 5 years overall IT project management experience
  • PMP or 8 years of experience total in project management
  • 3 years of experience in Salesforce project management
  • Deep understanding the Salesforce platform, including its architecture, data model, customization capabilities and integration points with other systems
  • Familiarity with Salesforce automation tools like Process Builder, Flows, and Apex
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with high-level federal officials
  • Proactive problem solver with good planning and organization skills

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with grants management systems or the Salesforce Grants Management tool including its configuration, customization, and integration with other systems
  • Experience working in an Agile or SAFe environment
  • Federal Salesforce PM experience

Primary Responsibilities

The Salesforce PM responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee or guide the development of custom Salesforce solutions tailored to the unique needs of grants management in the federal context
  • Provide strategic guidance on Salesforce integration with existing client systems, ensuring that new implementations align with organizational strategic goals and IT infrastructure
  • Manage pilot programs, particularly in high-stakes environments where outcomes can influence broader adoption
  • Motivate, mentor, and guide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to perform their tasks
  • Develop and implement a Program and Project Management Plan for each task that identifies the management strategies to be followed and goals to be achieved
  • Host standing weekly, Program Manager meetings to review the project schedule, plan and track work, identify and remove barriers, and identify and assign owners and due dates to action items
  • Provide progress updates to project sponsors and key stake holders, including managing Program
  • Directors, the Communication Specialist, and the federal PM’s via status meeting and reports
  • Communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the project goals

Non-technical activities

  • Managing projects using Agile, Scrum, or Scrumban methodologies to align with client’s project management practices and ensure effective delivery of project milestones
  • Strong organizational skills to plan and execute projects efficiently, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Ability to prioritize tasks for technicians based on urgency, impact, and resources available
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders including OCIO and program staff
  • Identifying potential risks in the project and developing mitigation strategies

Technical activities

  • Support the operations and maintenance of a broad-based Salesforce program that will enable the customer to discover and document business and technical requirements, and develop, pilot, adopt, maintain and evaluate Salesforce solutions for processing research topic inquiries, merit review, and grant management.
  • Provide support for determining the feasibility and complexity of potential projects.
  • Provide suitable technical and project management support to discuss and answer questions regarding
  • Salesforce systems, infrastructure, and operations as well as their potential integration with customer systems, data and operations.

  • In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

  • The salary for this position is $70,000 - $140,000 annually
