The Job At-A-Glance:
The Security Engineer is responsible for managing and enhancing security across the enterprise, including cloud and SaaS environments.
This role focuses on securing enterprise infrastructure, systems, and networks, ensuring that security controls are integrated across the organization's environment to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. It also emphasizes data protection, safeguarding sensitive information through strategic security measures and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key responsibilities include supporting cloud security initiatives, implementing data protection strategies, managing advanced security tools, overseeing SIEM management, ensuring comprehensive security logging, designing and implementing security controls that support NIST, SOC 2, and SOX frameworks, and collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance the security of business applications.
Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:
Manage advanced security tools, including AWS and Azure security services, DLP, EDR, and SWG
Ensure comprehensive security logging and monitoring, supporting SIEM management to enhance visibility and response
Enhance detection logic, address vulnerabilities, and mitigate risks in multi-cloud infrastructures
Contribute to the development and implementation of data protection strategies by managing DLP policies and monitoring sensitive data across cloud and SaaS environments
Contribute to the design and enhancement of secure cloud and SaaS architectures, ensuring robust security controls are implemented for both new and existing applications
Design, implement, and maintain security controls to ensure compliance with NIST, SOC 2, SOX, and other relevant industry regulations and standards
Partner with business stakeholders to provide security consulting services, ensuring applications meet security best practices
Perform security risk assessments and develop comprehensive security policies
Things You Will Need to Be Successful in This Role:
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or
equivalent work experience.
Experience in Linux or Windows System Administration
Proficiency in automation and scripting via PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code implementations
Experience implementing security solutions in public clouds, specifically AWS and Azure
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly express ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization
Natural ability to lead and influence without direct authority
Calm, diplomatic demeanor and a cooperative nature, even in stressful situations
High attention to detail and exceptional follow-through skills
This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
