Role Overview
As a Security Engineer (Pre-Sales) at Vectra AI, you will combine technical expertise with consultative selling to help customers understand, evaluate, and adopt the Vectra AI Platform. You will work closely with Regional Sales Managers to serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, partnering with customers, channel partners, and distributors to solve complex cybersecurity challenges.

Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and architectural guidance while helping customers understand how Vectra enables them to detect, investigate, and respond to modern hybrid attacks.

Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or in a similar customer-facing technical role
Experience supporting enterprise and strategic customer engagements
Strong consultative and customer-first mindset with excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong understanding of modern cybersecurity technologies such as Network Detection and Response (NDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), SIEM, Identity Security, CASB, or Digital Forensics
Strong networking knowledge with the ability to understand and troubleshoot technologies across OSI Layers 3–7
Experience with cloud and hybrid security architectures, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
Understanding of identity technologies such as Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or Okta is highly desirable
Experience integrating security platforms with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, ticketing systems, and other security technologies
Familiarity with modern security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain
Strong written communication skills, including RFP/RFI responses, and excellent verbal presentation skills
Understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (Red Team/Penetration Testing). Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or OSCE are a plus
Understanding of Incident Response and Blue Team methodologies. Certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, or GNFA are a plus
Understanding of security governance and industry best practices. Certifications such as CISSP are a plus Benefits
