About The Job As a Senior Account Executive, you will be part of a team targeting the Americas region across a diverse set of industries, including gaming, live streaming, logistics, delivery and telehealth. As a Senior Account Executive, you'll have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of customer verticals and stakeholders. At PubNub, we empower you to unleash your potential and drive sales success via new customer acquisition and growth. You'll source new leads, close deals, and expand PubNub's presence by aligning with customers on new use cases while engaging with them as a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive deals from sourcing to nurture to close, working with primary stakeholders including CTOs, developers, product managers, and engineers to build relationships, uncover pain points, and ensure customer success in implementing PubNub while coordinating the commercial close of new business.
  • Expand and grow ARR with existing customers through building relationships and regular meetings to align around customer product roadmaps and opportunities to leverage PubNub in real-time projects.
  • Partner with sales development representatives to source high-impact customers through inbound, outbound, and indirect channels.
  • Be the voice of your customers communicating feedback to product development and addressing customer issues while working internally with our support and engineering teams.
  • Strengthen and expand relationships within strategic customer accounts, including up-leveling existing relationships with key exec-level sponsors.
  • Regular travel to customer sites for engagement to gather customer feedback, communicate product roadmap, and uncover future business opportunities.
  • Leverage sales automation, funnel management and prospecting tools to accurately forecast sales activity and revenue achievement through the use of the CRM.
  • Continuous learning of PubNub’s evolving products, services, and processes.

About You

A self-driven sales professional who thrives in a highly technical product environment and embraces complex sales scenarios with a proven track record of managing the entire sales process from sourcing to close. You possess an effective, solution-oriented, and consultative approach, adept at addressing customer needs while driving successful outcomes. Excelling at identifying new opportunities and surpassing targets, your proactive mindset and unwavering determination position you as the ideal candidate for spearheading revenue growth and expanding our customer base.

  • 10+ years experience in B2B Technology Sales as an Account Executive in a hunting role selling to a technical audience.
  • Experience with closing 6-figure deals with complex organizations with multiple stakeholders including CTOs, product managers, and software engineers.
  • Experience with APIs, SDKs, cloud computing or similar technologies and enjoy selling to a technical audience and building mutual trust. Familiarity with real-time technologies like Pub/Sub, Socket.io, MQTT, Firebase or similar technologies.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com for tracking activity, retention and revenue metrics, while leveraging tools like Outreach and Zoom info to drive productive sales motions and communication.
  • World-class interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effortlessly make complex contractual, technical, and financial details sound simple.
  • Experience with value-based sales processes and capability to build ROI as part of your sales methodology.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects and deals at the same time.
