YOUR TEAM

Nuna is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. As a member of Financial Operations, you’ll be responsible for closing the books monthly, building out processes, establishing and documenting key controls for efficiency and scalability. You’ll work closely with all layers of Nuna’s management to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of Nuna’s financial operations and provide guidance around operation performance and respond to financial reporting requests from management and investors.

Reporting to our Controller, you will have a great opportunity to demonstrate your excellent ability to multitask, impress with your strong accounting knowledge, and amaze everyone with your attention to detail while supporting meaningful work in the industry.

YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

  • Own the month end close calendar and reconcile GL accounts
  • Prepare asset, liability, and equity journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Reconcile credit card, bank and investment statements
  • Input and manage the AP process and employee expense reimbursement
  • Oversee purchase requisition and purchase order process
  • Assist with platform reviews and implementations
  • Document processes around key accounts
  • Author key policies and memos related to significant financial transactions
  • Assist with AR billing
  • Prepare monthly financials for management
  • Perform flux analysis as needed
  • Collaborate closely with other departments in accounting related matters
  • Assist in employee onboarding and facilitate communication between employees and the finance/accounting team
  • Reporting and documentation as needed for audit requirements
  • Ad hoc tasks related to payroll journal entries and financial reporting projects
  • Stay current with continuing professional education by participating in external accounting functions and networking events
  • Gather support for tax return preparation‌

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6 years industry experience for small start-up companies in similar role(s)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks Online, bill.com
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • General curiosity on how the business operates
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities as requested
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines is required
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and listening skills
  • Positive and customer service-oriented attitude
  • Thinks strategically and understands big picture

  • This role is open to remote, but preference is given to candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The expected salary range for this position is $96,000 - $117,750. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
