We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer to join our Security Research group. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you will:
Work closely with security researchers
Turn prototypes, scrapers, and research pipelines into scalable production systems
Own projects end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance
Build systems powering open-source intelligence and security research efforts
Responsibilities:
Design and build scalable backend systems and data pipelines
Transform research prototypes into production-grade services
Work with large datasets and high-scale systems
Collaborate closely with security researchers and engineers
Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of services
Contribute to architecture decisions and system design
Leverage AI/LLMs and automation tools to improve engineering workflows Requirements
Requirements:
5+ years of backend development experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Experience building and operating production SaaS services
Strong experience with high-scale systems and large datasets
Ability to independently drive projects end-to-end
Experience designing scalable architectures and data pipelines
Strong problem-solving and builder mindset
Comfortable using AI tools / LLMs in development workflows

Experience at a cybersecurity startup
Malware analysis or reverse engineering (obfuscation, encryption, sandboxing, time-bombs)
