Build and maintain backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot, making changes to the React/TypeScript frontend when needed.
Convert existing AI-generated and vibe-coded MVPs into reliable, production-ready applications.
Refactor prototype logic into clean backend services, typed APIs, database schemas, and maintainable end-to-end workflows.
Design PostgreSQL schemas and manage database migrations with Liquibase.
Integrate BigQuery as a read source and maintain adjusted/published data views with clear source-of-truth boundaries.
Follow OpenAPI-first development practices to build well-defined APIs and generate typed frontend API clients.
Implement backend observability using Spring Boot Actuator, Prometheus metrics, and structured logging.
Ensure applications are deployable, maintainable, and ready for engineering handoff.
Work with business stakeholders to preserve product intent while improving technical quality.
5+ years of backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.
Strong experience with Maven.
Experience designing and building REST APIs using OpenAPI contract-first development.
Experience with Spring Security.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL schema design and Liquibase.
Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouse technologies.
Experience with production readiness practices: observability, error handling, configuration, and deployment support.
Solid understanding of versioned data, source-of-truth boundaries, data freshness, cache rebuilds, and fallback behavior.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (OpenAI, Claude, Cursor, Replit AI, or similar).
Experience evaluating and refactoring AI-generated or vibe-coded solutions into production-ready applications.
Familiarity with React and TypeScript, with the ability to make basic frontend changes when needed.
Experience with multi-module Maven projects.
Experience integrating legacy systems without rewriting them.
Experience with Google APIs (Sheets, Drive, BigQuery).
Experience with n8n or other workflow automation tools.
Familiarity with Vite.
Familiarity with TanStack Query.
