As a Senior Commissions Analyst you will be a key member of the Sales Finance team within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) team at HubSpot. The FPA team is responsible for forecasting, long term financial planning, operational and financial reporting and analysis for all levels of the organization. We’re trusted business partners that provide recommendations and analysis to help drive sound business decisions.
You will be responsible for the administration of sales commissions and analyzing & reporting out on sales commissions trends. A successful candidate possesses strong analytical skills and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
What you’ll do:
- Perform assigned incentive processes which include gathering, calculating, and loading data accurately and timely into the incentive system.
- Review/Analyze/Report on Incentive transactions to identify trends and potential incentive compensation errors.
- Ensure commissions are allocated to the correct sales representative.
- Review source data for accuracy and to support incentive calculation as per approved plan(s).
- Resolve, follow up and communicate on incentive issues identified.
- Address and resolve queries from payees, including supporting them with instructions for future queries
- Assist in all aspects of the Commission Process.
- Maintain procedures documentation.
- Autonomously review Incent batches for accuracy.
- Perform monthly reviews of commission payments for accuracy. Using independent judgment, make corrections as needed.
- Perform advanced analytical auditing of complex data sets, looking for anomalies and errors. Using independent judgment to make corrections as needed.
- Root cause analysis on issues stemming from data or systems processing of data.
- Assist in building out system solutions for automation and processing imported data correctly.
- Perform annual audits as requested by the Audit team.
- Perform annual review of Xactly setup of tables and plan assignments within Xactly Incent.
- Partner with the Sales Operations team to support the implementation & documentation of new sales commissions plans, leveraging key metrics to make recommendations for necessary changes to commissions structure
- Serve as the Finance subject matter expert on sales commissions plans policies and rationale
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of post undergraduate professional experience working in a high-growth, results focused environment
- Ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines
- Established excellency in Excel is a must
- Experience in Xactly Incent and Analytics preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with the intellectual curiosity to be a problem solver
- Ability to work in a team environment and engage in cross-functional collaboration
Cash compensation range: 86400-129600 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
